According to "Muz-TV" the silver medal winner of "Eurovision" contest last year Dima Bilan is the best performer of this year. RIA "Novosti" reports that these results were proclaimed late on Friday at the award ceremony of the 5-th annual national television prize in the sphere of popular music "Muz-TV 2007" which took place in "Olimpiysky" sports complex. Zhanna Friskie got "Best performer", VIA GRA got "Best pop group", and "Zveri" were called "Best rock group", while Dima Bilan got prizes for "Best song" for "Tak ustroen etot mir" ("The world is made in such a way") and "Best album" for "Vremya - reka" ("Time is a river").
Song "Malinki-malinki" by "Diskoteka Avaria" and Zhanna Friskie was called "Duet of the year" and also received a prize for "Best video".
Special prize was provided for twin sisters Masha and Nastya Tolmachevs who won at "Eurovision" contest for kids last year.
"Best hip-hop project" was called "Band'Eros" , "Golden gramophone" got "Best concert show" and Philip Kirkorov was awarded for the contribution to the development of pop music. Viktor Tsoy got a posthumous prize for the development of rock music. Zemfira handed the award to Tsoy's father Robert Maksimovich. She also performed a song of the group "Kino" called "Strannaya skazka" ("Strange fairy-tale").
Muz-TV prize was instituted in 2002. It covers all styles of modern pop-music and the selection of the laureates consists of two stages which involve voting of both experts and professionals.
