The owner of People’s Choice Award “New Wave – 2005” Makpal Isabekova from Kazakhstan has given her first solo concert in Almaty for the audience numbering three thousand people. Active work of the 22-year-old girl in the past two years led to the full house in the Palace of the Republic – which is the main stage of the country. Makpal’s participation in the contest in Yurmala had attracted much attention to the rising star of the Kazakhstan stage. The singer has produced five new video clips, has released and reissued her solo album “Perviy Potseluj” (“First Kiss”) since that time. At the moment the singer is recording her next disc in Kazakh language. “The solo concert was a sort of a stability test for me. A two-hour “live” performance in front of the vast audience is not only a good test of the artist’s professionalism, but also of his personal qualities – patience, self-assurance and persistence. I think I’ve passed this exam” – Makpal says.
The singer’s relatives, as well as her friends and colleagues – Ivan Breusov, group “101”, Ajkyn came to congratulate her on the solo concert. All of them had participated in the “New Wave” contest in the past years.
