The participant of the “New Wave 2006” Ajkyn (Kazakhstan) has released his solo album. This event united a great deal of those desirous to hear “live” performance of the singer and get his autograph in one of the musical saloons of Almaty. Ajkyn had been selecting the twelve songs from the album “Ships” deliberately – the compositions which he had performed on the stage of the “Dzintari” concert hall in Yurmala – “Hit the road, Jack”, “Rodinka” (“A mole”), and “Kak dela?” (“How are you?”) were included in the album. He sang some of them at the presentation of the album. “I was very anxious about the fact that the disc might be dull – that is very plain in the sense of the genre of the songs represented there. But we managed to pick out the compositions versatile in sounding and meaning. So many surprises are awaiting the listeners!” – Ajkyn admits. Having returned from the contest in Yurmala the singer made another clip, which happened to be the third one, for the well-known song “Kak dela?” (“How are you?”). The video had been shot against some wonderful ancient buildings in Riga, where the participant had managed to get away in the occasional minutes free from rehearsals. The producer of the singer had invited a team of specialists from Lithuania, Latvia and Russia specially for the shooting. And the director of the video had come with Ajkyn from Almaty.
Right after the public presentation of his “first-born” to the audience, the singer began getting ready for one more event. He’ll become a participant of the solo-concert of the “New Wave – 2005” graduate called Makpal
