The Austrian Patrick Jurdic, the participant of the “New Wave 2006” is working actively: the singer plans to release his solo album in the Czech Republic. However the tight schedule doesn’t prevent the artist from recollecting the bygone contest with great cordiality affection and delight. “I often think about the days that I spent in Yurmala, I was amazed at the number of talented people who work together on one stage, - Patrick confesses – I’ve said it in many interviews and keep repeating! Though each of the contestants has achieved much in life, our performances were estimated by the strict jury in absolutely equal conditions! Each of the 16 participants showed great energy potential.
The “New Wave” gave me an opportunity to work on the same stage with world stars - Craig David, Enrique Iglesias, Lara Fabian. I had a wonderful chance to see the performances of Russian stars – Alla Pugacheva, Valeriy Leontiev and many others – to analyze their performances and learn from them. It’s important to see the experienced artists work, perform on stage, to see the way they look, the way they do their work, the way they behave behind the stage. There is still much for me to learn. There is always something that one can and need to learn!”
The singer admits, that after the “New Wave 2006” his popularity and recognizability has risen drastically. “Now people know me both in Russia and in Latvia and I hope that I’ll be able to use this chance to get opportunities to perform on stage, - the singer continues. – In the end of September my management and I were invited to Moscow. We had some nice meetings and negotiations with many influential people. We spoke about the continuance of the cooperation on the Russian musical market. It’s probable that some of my solo concerts will be held in Moscow in the nearest future! Moscow is a wonderful city! I fell in love with it at once. The scale and diversity make Moscow unique”.
