The new clip of Tina Carol for the song “Pupsik” (and its English version “Hunny”) was shot in Kiev in the “Ukrtelefilm” film studio.
The work with this video was carried out almost twelve hours non stop. Tina tried acting seven roles. The scenes alternated like in kaleidoscope: according to the intentions of the director Alan Badoyev, Tina sang and danced first with her ballet “Dels-Art”, then with a military orchestra, then with a handsome macho… with changing decorations in the background.
The scenery of the clip was called “a feast of uncontrolled imagination” by the Ukrainian press: military tents, interrogation cell and a vinous coffin! It was rented in a shop of ritual ceremonies, the price for this Italian “masterpiece” is $5000.
“I didn’t connect the glitzy text of the song with the plot – Alan Badoyev said. – We decided to make a mockery of TV advertisements, which has been amusing people with its endless stupidity for a long time. The song is cheerful and unforgettable.
The clip was shot quite fast. The filmmakers dismissed only at eight in the morning. However, the difficult night notwithstanding, Tina was feeling well. Though she had managed to cut her leg twice during shooting – in the scene with a typewriter. When the singer was asked “How did you manage to bear it?”, she answered: “I was drinking tea and eating strawberries!”.
