The publishers of the international Guinness book of Records have entitled Madonna the most high-paid singer of all times!
According to BBC News, the 48-year-old singer displaced Britney Spears from the first line of the rating list, while the latter was holding the record since 2001.
In 2000 Madonna was included in the Guinness book of Records as the most successful singer: she had managed to sell 120 million copies of her disks by that time. It became notorious September,21 in 2006 that Madonna’s latest concert tour called “Confessions” brought her profit of 193,7 million of dollars, and this was called the best result ever stated among female singers. Besides Madonna, such performers as James Blunt and Arctic Monkeys group were also included in the latest edition of the Guinness book of records. Blunt has managed to sell 2,36 million copies in Great Britain.
The group from Sheffield managed to sell 113 thousand copies of its debut album "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" in one day, and almost 364 thousand copies in the first week; both figures are considered as records.
