The solemn Gala Concert of the " New Wave 2008" and the summing up of the results of the Contest took place on July 28th in " Dzintari" concert hall. The concert programme included performances of the brightest stars of Russian show- business and world stage, such as M. Caballe, Al Jarreau, A. Pugacheva, Valeria, Robin Gibb, L. Dolina, N. Baskov, L. Orbakaite, " Diskoteka Avarya", V. Meladze, M. Fadeyev, Gluk`oZa, B. Moiseyev. L. Vaikule, G. Leps, I. Alegrova, L. Agutin, A. Varum, N. Podolskaya, V. Presnyakov, " Via GRA", " Bi-2", " Velvet", D. Bilan.
The Georgian duet " Georgia" won the Contest. Iris, the singer from Russia got the second place and Alessandro Ristori from Italy got the third place in the " New Wave 2008" All the winners recieved diplomas and the prizes of $ 70 000, 40 000 and 30 000 accordingly.

All the Contestants received their diplomas, gifts and nice bunches of flowers. The award from the inspirer of the Contest Alla Pugacheva- " The Golden Medal of Alla", diplomas and 50 000 $ were handled to two of the contestants- Omar from Kyrgyzstan and Dyadya Vanya from Belarus. The prize from the City of Jurmala went to Dons. Image Agency " PERSONA" handled the prize " The Year of Beauty" to Iris from Russia, naming her the most stylish Contestant. The youngest Contestant Nysha received the watch Jacob & Co. The prize from the " Muz- TV" channel providing the right and financing production of the video clip with further placement in the ether of the channel. The audience award - the jewelry " Brilliant Wave" went to Mger from Armenia.
