The prime minister of Latvia Aigars Kalvitis met co-chairmen of the competition Igor Krutoy, Raymond Pauls and the chairman of the Organizing committee Alexander Shenkman in his office.
The prime minister supported the “New Wave”: it’s an event which helps create the positive image of Latvia and makes this country recognizable in the world.
The organizers told Mr.Kalvitis that TV viewers would be able to watch the contest program in Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovenia, USA and Israel all these six days. Raymond Pauls and Igor Krutoy told about the participants of the competition, guests, and surprises awaiting the audience as well as about their plans. Aigars Kalvitis was invited to the concerts held as a part of the competition. It was the first meeting of the prime minister of Latvia with the organizers of the International competition of young singers of popular music “New Wave”.
