Eleonora Gogolashvili is in her third year at Tbilisi Theatre University named after Shota Rustavelli and she also studies vocal in Tbilisi Musical School (fourth year). She was born on
the eighth of May; she prefers to spend her holidays at the seaside. She dreams of singing a duet with A.Celentano, realizing that it is not likely to happen. She goes in for sports such
as swimming and figure skating. Eleonora is a finalist of a TV contest of young performers "Nutsa's school" and of a TV
musical contest "Wave of hope". She enjoys reading, embroidering, listening to her favorite music and gossiping on the telephone in her free time. She likes B.Streisand's oeuvre.
She dreams of achieving a lot in her profession. Her favorite cartoon character is Winnie-the-Pooh. The girl can remember her first day at school very well: she was asked how many legs an ant had. Eleonora admits, that the most ridiculous thing is that she does not know the answer to this question even now. She liked neither physics nor chemistry at school.
On the other hand, the girl was always good at literature, antique history, Russian and German. Eleonora' family called her a "Martyr" when she was a child.
Eleonora's aunt, her mother's sister, was the first to pay attention to her musical talent. The artist has been singing since she was seven. Her favorite composers are F.Chopin, P.Chaikovskiy, S.Rakhmaninov, G.Kancheli. The singer was impressed a lot by the book by G.G.Marquez called "Patriarch's autumn" which she read not long ago. She also likes Bulgakov's oeuvre.
She cannot stand impudent and irresponsible people. She enjoys watching films of P.Almodovar, E.Kusturitsa, L. von Trier, M.Forman, N.Mikhalkov and O.Ioseliani. She would like to able to
see the Eiffel tower out of her window every day. She has been dreaming of becoming a singer since her childhood.
Eleonora's motto is "Do everything properly and be that as it may". She does not like to be the first to phone. She would be a ropewalker if she worked in a circus. Her favorite perfume
is "Boudoir" by V.Westwood. The young singer's special dish is borsch. She would like to get a "Mercedes" cabriolet as a birthday present, but she would hate to be presented a cat. She would gladly act in a tragicomedy directed by G.Danelia. Eleonora's refrigerator is always filled with apples and Caucasian milk. The singer is afraid of loneliness and she would gladly move back in time to the 18-th century and visit France of that time. A rocky city of Vardzia in Southern Georgia was the most unusual place that
E.Gogolashvili has ever visited. Everything that surrounds her - life, death, love - causes upsurge of creative effort. Eleonora selected the songs for the contest herself, paying attention to her producer's opinion as well as to advice given by professionals. She decided to take part in the "New Wave" because she wants to challenge her abilities and see their limits.
