"Barcelona" duet consists of Vladimir Tkachenko and Galina Gavrilko. At halves they have many diplomas of education as well as honorary titles in versatile musical contests. Galina enjoys
reading in her free time, whereas Vladimir prefers painting and listening to music. Tkachenko could remember a funny episode from his childhood: when he was a small boy he was planting a
cherry tree with his parents. A deep hole was filled with water, a young plant was handed over to Volodya, but he suddenly stumbled and fell into the hole together with the tree! The
parents took the son who was waist deep in mud out and planted the tree - it still grows and bears fruit.
As a child Galina used to imitate entire films where Louis de Funes was starring. Vladimir can imitate V.Zhirinovskiy and M.Galkin. Once when Gavrilko was performing in Croatia she sang
in Italian: the Italians took her for a compatriot, came up to her, spoke to her enthusiastically+ but she could not understand a single word. It was at that moment that she gave a promise to herself to learn this language without fail. Now Galina feels quite at home not only with Italian, but also with Czech and Slovak languages. Volodya's favourite composer is L.V.Beethoven, while Galya enjoys the music of F.Shopin, G.Verdi, G.Puccini and
P.I.Chaikovskiy.
Tkachenko has been called NIKE at basketball court since his childhood. Gavrilko has been singing since she was 13. Her motto is - "I am strong, I am capable of everything. What is the
highest step in a person's ascent to God? The one, which is followed by a descent to people." Volodya's motto is "I can see a goal, I can see no obstacles!" Galina would move back in time
to the 19-th century - she would try on the clothes of that time with great pleasure.
Vladimir, on the other hand, would prefer a Renaissance epoch.
There is a wonderful New Year tradition in Gavrilko's family: the mother rings a bell one hour after midnight and the whole family goes to the Christmas tree to get their presents. And
each family member of Tkachenko's family must paint a picture!
Galina never leaves home without a cell phone and a handbag. Vladimir's essential set involves a watch, a pen, a cell phone and a handkerchief. Both Galya and Volodya wish to be filmed in a drama. Galya dreams of seeing a sunrise, but in reality she sees a sunset much more often. Volodya is sure that he will have a house with a view of a sea or an ocean one day. If he had to work in a circus, he would be a lioness-tamer, whereas Galya would prefer to act as a juggler who would really shock spectators!
Galina's idol in music is I.Krutoy, if he came to her one day the girl would play him the music composed by herself in order to be able to hear professional appraisal. Vladimir dreams of singing a duet with his idol G.Michael in his kitchen! Galina's dream is to give people happiness with her singing, while Vladimir dreams of placing himself on record. Both of them wear classic clothes and both would jump with a parachute. They cook well, especially various dishes of chicken. Both of them like New Year a lot and
believe that it should be celebrated either at home or among good friends. Galina thinks that it's impossible to make dreams come true in sleep, so she takes part in the contest in reality. Vladimir believes that he is destined to participate in the "New Wave" contest. The duet's affection for art influenced the selection of the songs for the contest program.
